By bringing together early childhood education, caregiver training, maternal mental health support, community programming, and culturally responsive services under one roof, we are creating the conditions that allow children and families to thrive together.

Every child deserves the opportunity to thrive. Every parent deserves support. Every caregiver deserves a place to learn, grow, and connect.
El Alma Colectiva is being created as a vibrant community campus in Southwest Denver dedicated to children ages 0-5 and the adults who care for them. More than a building, it will be a place of belonging, healing, learning, and possibility where families can access resources, build relationships, and strengthen the foundations that help young children flourish.
Located in a community with one of the highest concentrations of young children in Denver and a significant shortage of childcare resources, El Alma Colectiva will serve as a hub for family wellbeing and early childhood development for generations to come.

A Partnership Between Lifespan Local and La Cocina
El Alma Colectiva is the result of a powerful partnership between Lifespan Local and La Cocina. Together, these organizations bring decades of experience supporting families, strengthening communities, and advancing culturally grounded approaches to health and wellbeing.
Lifespan Local has become a trusted resource for families across Southwest Denver through programs such as Blossom House and the Alma Project for Maternal Mental Health. La Cocina has supported more than 1,000 Latine families across Colorado through innovative mental health services rooted in liberation psychology and community healing.
By joining forces, these organizations are creating a shared space where families can access support throughout the earliest and most important years of a child's life.
The Importance of Family, Friend & Neighbor Caregivers
Southwest Denver is home to thousands of young children, many of whom are cared for every day by family members, friends, neighbors, and other trusted caregivers. These caregivers form the backbone of our early childhood ecosystem, yet they often have limited access to professional development, training, and support.
La Alma Colectiva will provide dedicated classroom and learning spaces where Family, Friend, and Neighbor caregivers can gain new skills, access resources, connect with peers, and strengthen their ability to nurture and educate the next generation of children. By investing in caregivers, we invest in every child they serve.
