New AV System Brings Function and Fun to Blossom House

A new audio-visual system at Blossom House is making a big impact on how the community gathers, connects, and celebrates. Installed in November of 2025, the new AV system includes a large screen, projector, room camera, and two powerful tower speakers.

Blossom House guest services coordinator Zoe Gomes explains that this upgrade responds directly to one of the most common requests Lifespan Local has received since moving into the community center in 2024: reliable, built-in AV capabilities for meetings and other events.

“Before, groups had to rent third-party equipment, which can be really expensive,” Zoe says. “Now, we can provide an affordable in-house option, removing a major barrier for organizations and community members looking to host events.”

The system is fully equipped for Zoom and Microsoft Teams, allowing blended in-person and virtual participation. Whether hosting meetings, conferences, or community celebrations, the system makes it easy to amplify sound, share video, and ensure every participant can fully engage.

During the recent holiday party, the AV setup helped transform the sanctuary space where families gathered to enjoy food, activities, and a screening of the crowd-favorite holiday film Home Alone. The system’s sound and visuals helped create a warm, festive atmosphere while supporting an event that distributed hundreds of gifts to local families.

Lifespan Local community members and organizational partners are encouraged to inquire about using the AV system for upcoming events.

“This new offering opens doors for more conferences, meetings, celebrations, and creative gatherings, making the space more versatile and welcoming than ever,” says Zoe. “It feels like the final piece.”
